A new film for VisitBritain

The city of Manchester is our home and has a huge place in our hearts.
When VisitBritain asked us to produce a 5 minute video celebrating all things Mancunian, we jumped at the chance!
Over a three week period our video production team scaled every corner of The Rainy City.  They’ve visited museums, restaurants, shops, cafes, cathedrals, markets, sports venues, theatres, tours, pubs, bars and music venues.
Every location welcomed them with open arms, aiding greatly with a hectic production schedule.
We favoured a mix of shot footage and vox pops with local people and traders to give the film greater authenticity.  This also ensured we reflected the city’s diversity, rather than just reinforcing what Manchester is already famous for.
The project reminded us all just how great this city really is.
Using a mixture of the Sony Fs7, Sony A7s, Freefly MoVI and GoPro Hero 4 the team recorded almost 9 hours of footage at over 80 locations, walking over 600km in the process. The footage has now been compiled and curated into 48 edits (covering UK, French and German markets).
The film was very positively received, generating tens of thousands of views.
Furthermore the footage that we shot has since been repurposed by VisitBritain and its partners for a wide range of other campaigns, nationally and internationally.
